When I saw this Wicked promo image splashed everywhere movies are advertised, I knew I wanted to try to make a doodle out of it. It was just so pretty and perfect and my mind ran wild with ideas of what to draw. Unfortunately, as is the case with nearly all my drawings, it didn’t come out anything like I pictured.
My main complaint about this doodle is that it has too much going on. I love the way the girls turned out, but everything in between them is just too busy. In my desire to pay tribute to the original The Wizard of Oz by including as many elements as possible from the movie, things spiraled out of the control.
But as always, I try to look on the bright side. This doodle gave me a LOT of practice drawing things I never drew before. I drew a freaking TORNADO for crying out loud! And I’m damn proud at how Oz turned out. I’m still patting myself on the back about that!
