What better way to kick off my newest category then by sharing my all time favorite drawing. This one was completed following my Cookies and Cream doodle. I have no name for it, but it was inspired by a cute candle holder I saw on Pinterest.
It was completed on printer paper with pencil and fine liner pens. It has lots of mistakes, but I love it so much. No doodle I’ve completed to date compares to how I feel about this one.
What surprises me most is that even though it’s so simple compared to everything I’ve done since, nothing I’ve done since feels good enough in comparison.
Every time I feel my newest work getting too complicated, I remember this drawing and remind myself that simple is sometimes best.
