I loved the minimalist choices of this doodle. I agonized over whether to color the background and even the Dood. If I could do it over again I think I would have colored the Dood, but I honestly think it works fine both with or without color.
The hardest part of this drawing was the wagon handle. I couldn’t quite get the perspective right. I actually have a folding Radio Flyer wagon and I used it as a reference. Thankfully, some wagons do rotate at the base, so I can always use that as an excuse as to why the Dood is holding it the way he is. Also, he’s missing a neck. Oops!
And as for the recognizable white wheels – I struggled with those too and decided to simplify the drawing with basic black ones.
